MARIBETH MCHUGH

I’m the visionary behind Barn Sour, a styling service out of Denver, CO. My story starts in the woods and fields of Pennsylvania, takes a sharp turn, and lands me in New York City, where I studied film and dramatic arts, immersing myself in a world of storytelling and self-expression. It was there that I discovered my love of skateboarding, which became not just a passion but a passport to travel and all things adventure. The culture, creativity, and freedom it embodied took me across the globe, shaping my perspective on music, life, food, style, and creative self expression. Eventually, those travels planted me in Colorado, where I’ve built a life as a mom, a creator, and someone who still believes in pursuing passions and embracing the outdoors. Surrounded by wide-open skies and rugged beauty, I’ve found myself drawn to a new kind of storytelling..one woven into the fabric of what we wear.

Barn Sour was born from a collision of my influences. The brand captures the urban edge of my NYC roots, the free-spirited tone of my skateboarding days, and the rugged charm of the West that I now call home. Along the way, traveling through the Iberian heart of Europe opened my eyes to refined craftsmanship, timeless aesthetics, and the artistry of fine leather—each piece telling a story of tradition and meticulous skill, adding another layer to my vision. I blend pieces that fuse bold, modern design with timeless Western essence, made for those who own their style. I call my style urban/western chic.

Every look is a vibe, more than just what you wear, it’s how we rep our story.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
